SaveTheDeals operates an authoritative, append-only ledger reward system designed to incentivize high-quality deal sharing.

### Reward Points Currency & Redemption
- **Conversion Rate**: 1 Reward Point = ₹1 (Indian Rupee).
- **Minimum Redemption**: 200 points (₹200). Contributors can redeem any custom amount from ₹200 up to their available points balance.
- **Payout Formats**: Official Amazon Pay or Flipkart Digital Gift Vouchers delivered via email within 24-48 hours. No UPI, bank transfer, or cash payouts are supported.

### Point Earning Actions
1. **Welcome Bonus**: +50 Points (₹50) credited upon user signup and account verification.
2. **Deal Submission Approved**: +5 Points (₹5) per deal that passes manual/automated moderator validation (price check, original MRP, valid store link).
3. **Trending Deal Upvotes (Tier-Based)**: ₹1 to ₹3 per upvote received while a deal is actively trending in the community.
4. **Referral Bonus**: Friends receive ₹50 welcome credit when signing up with a contributor's link. Referrals count toward weekly tier progression.

### Contributor Tiers & Requirements
Contributors progress across three distinct tiers based on their weekly activity:
1. **Core Contributor** (Starting Tier):
   - Requirements: Default on account creation.
   - Upvote Rate: ₹1 per upvote received on trending deal.
   - Daily Earning Cap: ₹100 / day cap.
2. **Deal Hunter** (Level 2):
   - Requirements: 4 referrals and 15 approved deals during a calendar week.
   - Duration: Unlocks for the following week, locked for 1 full week.
   - Upvote Rate: ₹2 per upvote received on trending deal.
   - Daily Earning Cap: ₹300 / day cap.
3. **Deal Pro** (Level 3):
   - Requirements: 10 referrals and 35 approved deals during a calendar week.
   - Duration: Unlocks for the following week, locked for 1 full week.
   - Upvote Rate: ₹3 per upvote received on trending deal.
   - Daily Earning Cap: ₹1,000 / day cap.

### Weekly Cycle Lock Architecture
- **Calendar Week Evaluation**: Tier qualifications are evaluated across the calendar week (Monday through Sunday IST).
- **Unlocked for Next Week**: Qualifying during the week unlocks higher tier status and benefits for the following calendar week.
- **Locked for 1 Full Week**: Once unlocked, contributor tier status, upvote rates, and daily caps remain locked and guaranteed for 1 full week. Resets on Monday.
- **Daily Earning Cap Reset**: The daily earning cap resets every day at midnight. All contributor earnings (upvotes, submissions, referrals) count toward this cap.
